Our Children's Savings Program

The Lapeer Education Attainment Fund (LEAF) is a new children’s savings program brought to you by the Lapeer County Community Foundation (LCCF), ELGA Credit Union and the Lapeer County Intermediate School District. LEAF provides kindergartners with a savings account seeded with $25, and is designed to help students start saving for college or career training expenses.

LEAF also provides financial education to students and parents. Students learn about saving and planning for the future. Classes are offered to parents on topics including credit scores and budgeting.

LEAF Portal:  Available starting November 1, 2019. The LEAF Portal is where parents can view their child’s account balances, change contact and authorized signer information, and designate beneficiaries. Program events such as student deposit days and financial education workshops will be listed on this site.  Login to the portal to find program forms including additional deposit tickets and access to online and community resources.
